From registration to when we’re announcing the winners, see the calendar below for the dates you need to know. Check back frequently in November and December as new webinars and workshop dates will be added.
November 2024
From 15 Nov. through Jan. 11, new resources will be added to this site. The project will have regular webinars and workshops on the topics of disinformation, serious games and more.
December 2025
January 2025
Round 1: Two Days
Teams participating in Ctrl+Alt+Disinfo separately from the Global Game Jam can select any two-day window between 17-26 Jan.
This stage is a non-competitive jam stage.
Games will not be judged following Round 1. During Round 1, teams are encouraged to explore creative and innovative ways that they can address the topic of disinformation though their games.
Round 2: Two Weeks
There will be available webinars, office hours and mentoring to support teams from 27 Jan – 8 Feb.
During Round 2, teams should expand upon or rework their Round 1 game. Mentors will be available to offer feedback and expertise to participants.
Jammers who did not participate in Round 1 are eligible to join the jam and participate in Round 2.
February 2025
Ukrainian teams can submit their two-week game projects/prototypes for consideration for one of 20 $1,000 USD microgrants.
As of 20 February, Ctrl+Alt+Disinfo has been paused until further notice.
We are awaiting guidance from the U.S. Department of State around resuming in the project. You can view our full statement here. We will share any additional updates or we have more information as we receive it.
Round 3: Two Months
There will be available office hours and mentoring to support teams from Feb 21-April 1, including business model mentoring. A minimum of one in-person event is planned for in each jam country during the 2-month period.
During Round 3, teams will design, develop, iterate and refine their games to submit as part of the global competition. At the end of Round 3, teams will submit their games.
Jammers who did not participate in Round 1 or 2 can request to join the jam after Round 3 begins; however, decisions around admittance will be made on a case-by-case basis by the organizers.

The post-jam production timeline for the winners will run from June 2025 – March 2026. Winning games will launch in Spring 2026.
