Don’t Be Fooled – Handbook is a resource from Sweden’s Psychological Defence Agency.

Summary:

Disinformation, misleading information and propaganda target vulner­abil­ities in open society, to influence opinions and decisions about what happens. This is deliberate interference by other countries and interest groups, as they work to cause division and break down trust in one another and in the authorities. 

Being are able recognise and deal with disinformation, misleading information, and propaganda, it will make it harder for them to reach their goals.

This handbook contains tools to improve one’s ability to recognise when a foreign antagonist power is attempting to influence you.

Under the section “Check the Source,” the guide provides a user-friendly breakdown on how to recognize a fake website and identify a bot. The handbook’s “Terminology to Know” section provides a helpful explanation of key terms and tactics.
